3月27日 Recent movie reviewsI feel bad that I haven't been updated anything recently. Someone used to have fun reading my movie review and enjoy my weird Chinese sense of humor. Anyway, here you go~~

Sex and the City (C+)
I am not a big fan of the sex and the city, but for some reason I rented the DVD from netflix anyway. The story was actually very good, I'm glad I gave it a chance. I love the 4 old ladies' life and struggles, everyone has their own issues and stories.. Some parts of the movie actually touch my heart. I think a lot of women and men can associate with this movie. Worth to watch, especially if you have been hurt from a relationship.

For some reason I refused to watch this movie in the theater, because it is a teenager movie? LOL~~ I love anything vampire, but more Victorian style than this modern teenager vampire chick flick. I have to say the movie is not bad, just a little weird and doesn’t add up/make sense sometimes.. I don’t know how to describe it without spoiling too much. If you like vampire stories, you should watch it, it is a pretty good movie, pretty decent story, I will watch the 2nd movie is it ever comes out! ps: I dunno why so many girls think this guy is good looking or gorgeous! He just looks odd to me!!! I don't think he is good looking at all! The Curious Case of Benjamin Button
Current mood:  adored Category: Movies, TV, Celebrities  I have seen a lot of crappy movies lately, however, this movie is not one of them. I guess that's why I did not realize it was a 3 hours movie, I was actually breezing through since the story was so captivating. I have a lot of unspeakable mixed feeling for this movie. It is not a comedy, and quite sad actually, but has a little humor running through the whole movie. I definitely love the poor little old man who got strike by lightening 7 times when he was just minding his own business every time when it happened....That was awesome! Well, sad for him of course! But it is true, he is so lucky that he is still alive after all that lightnings (in the movie). I guess a lot of times, people take things for granted. Bad things always stand out among all the good things, it is so significant because it does not happen so often, make it so obvious, so annoying, so bothering, make us obsessed and depressed that it happens. Oftentimes, we neglect all the good things that happen to us, we forget to appreciate them. I guess that is why the world is gone so mad these days. Before I've gone too far, I also love the part where they went to the church.. Definitely some "magical" things happened there. LOL~ It is very hard to understand how it feels when everyone you love are getting old and passing away, but you are getting younger. I was never a Brad Pitt fan, but he definitely tried his best to play as Benjamin and did a good job on portraying this role. I was touched by the love Benjamin has for Daisy and their daughter, but has to leave for the better good. It was also heart breaking for Daisy to see herself getting older and older, while her lover is getting younger and does not recognize her anymore, after all the history and stories they have. It was so sad, you love this person all these years, but most of the time, either he was too old and she is too young, or he is getting more zits and she is getting more wrinkly. I guess when they finally met in the middle of their life, they can finally able to love each other and enjoy being loved. But man, how could you love enough after all these troubles. They had the best time of their life building their little house together. I was truly happy for them (once again, this movie is doing a good job, that's why I was so into it...LOL~) Too bad their love was short lived. (I saw the girl next to me wipe her tears while I was wiping mine...:-P) I love all the journeys Benjamin has, and all the characters in the movie, I will give it an A. It is not a perfect movie, but they definitely try hard, and it is good enough for me!) Thursday, September 25, 2008

碍于某个人一直和我抱怨很久没有写movie review了，所以只能碍着头皮继续写。。。 这个电影看完了，有点压抑。 因为电影是讲英国的，所以里面人物的英国口音简直是要我的命。 虽然国内初高中学的是英国英语，应该对英国口音不陌生才对。 可是那个时候的英语简直就不算有真正地学过。。习惯了美式英语，每次听英国口音的英语都很吃力，都要树起耳朵仔细听才可以。当然，bf会偶尔把电影停住，然后过来问我是否明白电影的进展，然后再用简单的美语解释给我听。。。5555555555.。。anyway，回到电影上来。。 这个电影的背景其实有点模糊，并没有真正的解释为什么人类丧失了生育能力。当然，从社会与环境角度来看，人类的自私与掠夺，环境的污染，让即使是几乎没有什么工业化的北极也被污染到，某天让人类丧失了生育能力也不是什么不可能的事情。只是觉得没有什么交代，短时间所有人类都失去生育能力有点不合情理。 （就算是科幻也应该找几十到几百年后吧，怎么找离近现代才有20年的距离来讲述，那就不怎么合情理了）。 电影里到处充斥着战争，逃亡，求生，新生命，觉得人的生命很渺小。让我感到很悲伤也很压抑，为里面的主人公抓一把汗。。虽然结局已经被我猜到，但是还是惊讶于视觉上的血腥给自己带来的震撼。结局是啥，我就不说了，看过的知道，没有看过的被我说了也不好玩了。。 电影还ok吧，我只能给C+。。。 我是喜欢看无聊傻瓜娱乐电影的人，看这些严肃的题材总会让我很郁闷。。。 很久没有去电影院看电影了，有很多正在上映的电影都想要看呢。。让我看看，Zodiac, Ghost Rider 看过了，还ok。 和Spider man这些类型的电影差不多故事类型。。casino royale（都出DVD了，晕啊）300，Hannibal Rising，The Abandned, Smokin' Aces, 还有更远的resident evil 3， spider-man 3就先不说了。。。 12月18日 The Fountain I have to listen to Massive Attack's " Live with me" to be able to write the reviews for "the Fountain".

Why is it so hard to be together? I just wanna love you and be with you forever... Why destiny take you away from me? The movie wasn't as good as I thought, however..Hugh Jackman did a great job on convincing us how painful he felt with the role he played.
Love could be painful, helpless, empty, and lonely.
 That loneliness in the universes scares the hell out of me!!!
I can't say that I like this movie very much, however, it does make me very depressed and make me scares of love a little bit..
Once you are in love, you are not yourself anymore, you become crazy, and lonely!
  Can you see his pain? his loneliness? his desperation?
10月29日 Must see movie of the year!Must see movie of the YEAR!!!
I do not know which word to use to describe my feeling about this movie. I have such a mixed feeling about this movie. It reminds me of the Butterfly Effect.
It is one of the smartest I've ever seen. I don't know if I would say it is my favorite movie of all time though. It has so much darkness inside of it, desire, revenge, obsession, and deadly competition. At the same time, it also capture so much of your attention. When you thought you know/guess what's going on, the truth will blow your mind, like nothing you have seen/guessed before. I am very very impressed by this movie, and I have never been this satisfied by any movie before. Go watch it, it would truly worth your money. I do not guarantee if you would like this movie, but I would guarantee that it would "entertain" you or leave a big impression on you when you get out of the movie theatre.
She asked," do you love me?" He said, " No, I don't love you today". and, it is truth that he was telling her.
The oldest, and the smartest, but, why things end up this way? Couldn't you predict from the start and able to stop the trilogy?
" I want to know how he did it!!!", it becomes obession to him.

8月5日 what's up with u guysWhat's wrong with u guys????????I don't understand why u like my movies reviews...U guys are a whole bunch of weirdos...
Anyway...here are 2 movie reviews...
 Well, I rented this movie at a local blockbuster. While I was waiting in line, I heard the guy at the register telling one of the customer that which movie suck and don't waste his time on it...I was like, hmmm...interesting..(his boss might not like that).It was my turn..he looked at the title and the picture....He said," well, this is a movie that I would not want to see"...hahah~~~~~~~I knew it...geek guys dont watch this kinda movies..I rented it anyway, because I love Mermaid..(I love fairytales...)
OK, it is a teenage story....it is stupid...yes...I admitted that this story is kinda stupid, and sometimes doesn't make sense...but u know what??? It is very cute at the same time...teenagers, love, friendship...aren't those what we used to care when we were teenagers, young and dumb??? So anyway, stop making fun of me watching this movie....it is not that bad...it even got a little twist in it...but I know we are all old and jaded, so it is nothing..haha...
 what is up with this movie??? when u just start watching this movie, u have no idea what is this movie talking about...it doesn't make any sense...the story is ridiculous, and doesn't add up together...i almost give up on watching it....but this cute little fast talking Asian girls kept my attention, i loved it when she talked fast, and have a weird logic...and took pics of this guy with her cellphone and pretended she was on the phone...that was cute...and in the end....the whole story is all clear., and everything started to make sense....I can't tell u what happened, cuz I'll spoil it and u will hate me........
I liked this movie...good story...cute actor....yeah~~~

 ok everybody, this movie suckssssssssssss.....they trick your tears.................u thought u would see a very sad movie, come on....it sound like a sad movie, right??? at least i remember i cried for the Korean version one.....sorry guys,,,,i have to spoiled this movie, if u are going to see this movie,, don't read the flowing what i am going to say...............
if u want a perfect ending, u supposed to make the main guy in the movie die, so the movie will be sad and perfect, and the story can give u a long lasting taste for an untouchable love....but ....how could he came back alive??????????whatever....this is not reasonable anyway....i cried for the movie for a while, cuz i was being a smart ass and thought the main guy would die, (that is how it supposed to end)..anyway, the director is dumb and let him came back alive and have a happy ending...................what a waste of my tears...no fun.......anyway........let me be the director next time!!~~ ok, i am a cold bloody Chinese girl........u got it...
 just noticed i watched another romantic movie...forgive me for being a girl...
a movie that i thought would be stupid funny movie..(come on, Vince Vaughn is in it), and u wont rememeber after u watching it. it turned out to be a little touching movie...it is kind of realistic, the conflict in a relationship, and how couples would go through a relationship, hurting each other or try to make the other jealous....the ending wasn't what i expected...but i guess everybody has to move on, right???
 no, this is not the typical type of the movie i would watch............story was not very strong...the only impression it gives me is that not all country songs are irritating...
nooooooooooooooooooooooooo, not my typeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee...
 I wanna be a super girl, so i can be this hot superman's super girlfriend........yeah!!!!!!!~~~~~~~~

6月6日 X-Men: The Last Stand Very interesting......It is not fun that if I just made another summaries of this movie if you can find it somewhere else easily. Here is how I feel about this movie though: Better story than the previous two, LOTS great actions, some dramatic changes to some of the main characters, some people die, the rest has to move on.
Like I said, a lot of dramatic changes would happen to those characters in this movie..
Would you let the power rule over you or you wanna be in control of yourself?

 She is so freaking beautiful when she is naked......You'll love her too..

 I wish I have wings like you do, but too bad u are not one of those main characters that I thought u were...(oops...did I just say something???)

 5月10日 Movies that I saw recently Mission Impossible 3
If you are a big action fan, don't miss this movie...it is very intense, great action, story is ok...but defintely worth the money and entertaining....didn't regret it..I highly recommanded for action movie lovers...
 Ice Age 2- the Meltdown
Awwww, such a cute little story, very very cute, lovely...touching....super super funny...........love it....
 I have to be honest...I have very high expectation for this moive, because the last 3 was so freaking funny....this one is funny too..but it seems like it could have done a better job and make it even more funnier..similar style...
 whoever said this is a warm commdy, I think he is lying....anyway....not as GREAT as I thought...it was funny...it is ok....i like some of the detail...but could be better...
 sigh, I have to admit, I wanted to see this movie because of the main actress...She did a great job in this movie..Story is cool...future, do u want other people to control your future????Story is good, action is good..
 The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, The Witch and the Wardrobe [WS] (2005)
I have always wanted to see this movie, specially my friend was the one who painted this lion....anyway...I love the movie, because it make my fantasy come true....my fairytale.....story is cute...there will be another one coming out soon..hehe....

The War of the Worlds Tom didnt play as our typical "hero" in this movie, but one of the thousand survior, feels real. It is another depressing movie I would say.....
Mr. and Mrs. Smith The movie I can not wait to see. It is a funny movie, and it seems like the director try to make this movie funny, and the people watch it try to think it is funny too. However, it is funny in the end. Not the best movie but good enough to be entertaining.
Batman Begins hhmm, not our typical kid's like comics movie, a little bit dark side of how our batman begins. Better than the first Batman and Robins which I saw a few years ago...I like the story, the character and the strugglings...
Meet the Fockers I kept on telling myself I wont watch this cuz I never seen the 1st 1. I'm glad that I watched it anyway, it is a funny but lovely movie...Love, family & joy.
50 First Dates It wasn't as stupid as I thought. I like how the movie ends and how the people willing to do for love.
Along Came Polly Another movie which I think would be stupid but turn out to be a cute love story, funny and lovely.

This movie is ok. The story is a little weak, good action. Good for entertaining.

We Don't Live Here Anymore Another depressing movie just like "Closer". also about love, and cheating, but this movie also involve in family.Games are not that easy to play anymore once u got family behind u...BE CAREFUL!!!
Sideways How interesting. I've just been to the Wine country and wine-tasting trips. I was drinking pork and eating the blue berry chacolate while I was watching Sideways. I dunno what to say about this movie..hhmm..life=wine=women???
Wedding Crashers This movie is super funny, we kept on laughing almost the entire time. The ending is a little bit weird, not so realistic though.
Sin City It is a very weird and interesting movie, very very different than most of the movie that I've seen. Hard to describe.
Robots Dreams will come true if you keep your believes.
The Interpreter This is another very depressing movie, which makes me scare to go to South Africa.

I always think that I like movie in general. However, I am not a big fan of those independent or documentary type of movies. I always like those stupid movies which are only good for entertaining purpose, does not make u feel heavy or depressed after viewing it. I guess I don't like to face reality and hate to have people to point it out how sucks or dark it is in life sometimes. I just want happiness, I don't want drama or complications.
There aren't a lot of good "meaningless" movies out there lately...Let me see...Here are the movies that I've seen:
God, this is one of the most stupid movie I've ever seen...... It is super hilarious..some said it is too stupid..I think it is still worth the money to make you laugh..
 save your money, watch it on DVD...it is not as good as the first one and second one..this one copied the first one, nothing interesting..
 better story, better than the first one....good actions..I like it..worth the money...I finally get to see some skin..hehe...
